1 cup shortening
½ cup sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup sorghum
1 cup hot water
Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Mix sorghum and hot water. Add to batter. Bake in a 9×13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
