German Chocolate Cake Icing

1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
½ cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook and stir until thick. About 12 minutes. Add 1/3 cup coconut and 1 cup pecans. Cool and spread over cake.
